Transparent by design
How UTools works
Every public page is pre-rendered at build time for fast, indexable delivery. Interactive tools then run locally in your browser. Your files and tool inputs are not sent to an application server.
Reproducible randomization
The word-search and math tools turn a text seed into a repeatable sequence. The same settings and seed produce the same layout.
Word-search placement
Words are cleaned to A-Z, sorted from longest to shortest, and tested against the selected grid. Words may cross only where they share the same letter. The tool reports how many were placed.
Math guarantees
The answer key comes from the same problem objects shown on the worksheet.
- Subtraction swaps operands when needed so answers are never negative.
- Division builds a dividend from whole-number factors.
Handwriting limitations
Joined-script practice uses an available system script font and may vary by device. It is not a substitute for a required school letterform model.
Files and calculations
Images use the browser canvas; PDF and spreadsheet operations use locally loaded libraries. Calculators display formulas and input limits on the page. Check outputs before using them; a browser tool cannot guarantee compatibility with every file or individual circumstance.
Device tests
Microphone and camera access begins only when you click their start controls and grant browser permission. Stop or leave the page to release access. Controller readings and reaction timing are informal observations affected by hardware and browser behavior.
Printing
Print styles remove navigation and controls. Classroom worksheets use Letter or A4 pages; invoices and checklists use a clean document view. Choose Save as PDF in your browser print dialog.
